In Future Retro, progressive, young female skiers Lexi duPont and Amie Engerbretson journey to the heart of deep-rooted ski culture in Switzerland, and freeskiers Baker Boyd and Victor Major rip the endless peaks of Iceland, using a 1,300-year-old farm as their base camp. Trio of world-class snowboarders Elena Hight, Danny Davis and Nick Russell travel to Antarctica and witness the impact of climate change.
Legendary skiers Scot Schmidt and Dan and John Egan show a new crop of athletes how they were responsible for the extreme-skiing movement of the ’80s and ’90s, and the next generation of skiers and riders show us what it means to challenge the status quo. From competitive triumph on the road to the podium at the World Cup in Killington to pushing boundaries of big-mountain skiing in Alaska, Future Retro will be that connection—past, present and future.

I'd probably first quit my job, buy a house, and then I'd like to find a way to help increase access to skiing and the outdoors.
I like muesli, but can't go wrong with a breakfast burrito.
Gold Hill in Telluride because it makes for very fast laps and a ton of vertical. It's got great fall lines and not a bad Hollywood line either.

Ideal down day is a slow morning with a lot of coffee, then some sort of activity to keep things moving, and time to read or work on projects.
Rango, I always wanted to be a lizard cowboy.
One highlight was paddling out into the Arctic Ocean to an empty right-handed point break after a morning of powder and heli-drops.
On the slopes I've been loving the Head Kore 99, I love skiing pow on fat skis, but I think narrower skis are underrated and are better for most days.

Every ski influencer will move exclusively to Tik Tok.
We defeat global warming, all resorts are powered renewably, and all barriers to entering and enjoying the sport fall away. And all skis go back to 200cm+ straight skis.

Coffee.
KT 22 (at Squaw). It's Fast vert, access a variety of challenging terrain, and has constantly changing snow conditions. Makes for a ong ski season.

There are too many to have just one. It's always a gift to capture images in Vermont. Also Kinley Quinn singing a powerful version of "I am Able". And skiing with long time friends (Scot Schmidt and the Egan brothers) in Montana.

I think the season of 2020 showed us not to take chair lift skiing for granted. In a wisp it was gone. No matter what is thrown at us in the future we will need to work together, public and ski area owners, to make it work.
What I can't see changing is the thrill of the sport. The freedom of the experience, letting your mind escape for a bit and being totally immersed in the now. As long is there is snow, we will have that.
"Last of the Ski Bums" captured the essence of passionate ski bums, enjoying a season, traveling around the word to experience different mountains and friends.
