This week we said goodbye to ski legend, industry visionary, powder 8s extraordinaire, and long time friend of WME, Mike Wiegele. The original ski bum from Austria, Mike and his wife Bonnie started their own heli-skiing operation back in 1970 and were featured not long after in Warren Miller's "There Comes A Time," which came out in 1975. From his momentous influence on the world of skiing to his easy smile, there is a lot we have to thank Mike for, and a lot we'll miss about him too. We hope he's out skiing powder 8s somewhere beautiful...
