Spending time with my family, my wood stove, my wood shop and my dog.

More animal, less fictions character. A sloth, my wife says I'm the fastest sloth she knows.

Hot Dog. It's hilarious.

Highlight memory from filming with WME for this year's film?

Catching up with old buddies (Scot Schmidt and Tom Day) in places we've skied for decades.

I think more people will explore more of nature and strive to protect what we have.

Obermeyer lined flannel shirt/jacket. I wear it all the time. Otherwise my CRF 250 rips.

What is your vision for the future of skiing?

More meditation through movement. Feel the turn.

FEATURED ATHLETE: TOM DAY

Name a person who inspires you to be a better skier?

John Egan.

What would you do if you won the lottery?

Ski!

Breakfast of champions?

Coffee.

Favorite chairlift and why?

KT 22 (at Squaw). It's Fast vert, access a variety of challenging terrain, and has constantly changing snow conditions. Makes for a ong ski season.

Ideal down day?

Skiing free without a camera pack.

Highlight memory from filming with WME for this year's film?

There are too many to have just one. It's always a gift to capture images in Vermont. Also Kinley Quinn singing a powerful version of "I am Able". And skiing with long time friends (Scot Schmidt and the Egan brothers) in Montana.

Gear you are loving right now, on or off the ski slopes, and why?

My RED camera. What beautiful images it can capture.

How do you think the year 2020 will shape the future of skiing?

I think the season of 2020 showed us not to take chair lift skiing for granted. In a wisp it was gone. No matter what is thrown at us in the future we will need to work together, public and ski area owners, to make it work.

What is your vision for the future of skiing?

What I can't see changing is the thrill of the sport. The freedom of the experience, letting your mind escape for a bit and being totally immersed in the now. As long is there is snow, we will have that.

Favorite classic ski film and why?

"Last of the Ski Bums" captured the essence of passionate ski bums, enjoying a season, traveling around the word to experience different mountains and friends.
