Griffin Post skiing in Jackson in the 2017 film, "Line of Descent". PC: Chris Figenshau

About the Athlete:

Griffin grew up skiing Sun Valley, but has called Jackson Hole (JHMR)his home mountain for a while, but of course he loves each mountain and town for different reasons. He is a two-time  US Extreme Freeskiing Champion, published writer and two years ago, Griffin was in his first Warren Miller film, “Line of Descent”, which featured him skiing at JHMR. He has also filmed with TRG several times over the years and is known for his big lines both on and off-piste in the area.

No More “S” Word:

  • Once the topic of skiing is off limits, Griffin tells Amie about his pet pinatas, Milo and Otis and the various souvenirs they are wearing from his travels to Nepal and Alaska, and he shares one specific story about a cowbell from Austria.
  • After that, Griffin discusses his innate ability to be a good listener, the worst advice he’s ever given and why it’s important to ask for help but to not expect it is the key to healthy self-reliance.
  • From there Griffin talks about being a morning person, his love for NY Times (early-week) crossword puzzles, his passion for weather science, and his guilty pleasure for his repeating the same meals with little variation.
  • Then, Amie asks Griffin a question brought to you by Protect Our Winters (POW), and the two discuss how impactful calling your local representatives can be.
  • Next, Griffin tells Amie why he’d want to be a surfer living on the beach in his alternate life and he talks about the highs of winning his March Madness pool by outsourcing his picks to a guy on Instagram.
  • Griffin wraps it up by telling Amie about one trip up to Alaska and how he had a pretty close encounter with a grizzly bear and the two discuss the screenplay he’s written featuring a strong female lead.

Follow Griffin along on his adventures here.
