FEATURED ATHLETE:  PETER MCDOWELL

What would you do if you won the lottery?

Get a brother for my Bernese Mountain dog. Build out a camper rig and travel. Go heli snowboarding. Buy a lake house.

Favorite chairlift and why?

Easily, the tram at Jackson Hole. That lift provides access to an unbelievable amount of incredible in and out-of-bounds terrain.

Highlight memory from filming with WME for this year's film?

WME set us up for a full day of unlimited cat-ski runs. It was a treat to have it all to ourselves. I feel fortunate to get that opportunity.

Gear you are loving right now, on or off the slopes, and why?

Winterstick Roundtail. It's a perfect traditional-shape powder snowboard that floats effortlessly and still carves really well. It's my go-to, everyday board.

What is your vision for the future of snowboarding?

The industry is directly linked to the climate and I can see snowboards/skiers demanding sustainability and adapting standard practices with climate change as the primary focus, providing an example for other sports and industries. Part of that push, I think the backcountry sector will continue to grow.
