The pitch-black sea, 26 kilometers off the Tasmanian coast, forms a wall of water near the Pedra Branca rocks. The Edge
A SHARK LOVER’S GUIDE TO THE SEA | USA 2015 | 5 minutes
Sharks have fascinated Joe Romeiro and Bill Fisher since childhood. They learned to dive as a way to experience the power and mystery of sharks firsthand. After meeting on a shark diving expedition, they teamed up to produce films that aid the conservation of sharks and the marine environment. They use their experiences to show that many species of sharks are threatened, and some even face extinction. Joe and Bill portray sharks the way they see them, as beautiful and awe-inspiring creatures that are a critical element of our oceans’ ecosystems.

Sonic Sea
SOUND OF THE DEEP | USA 2016 | 22 minutes
The ocean has never been completely silent but increasingly acoustic noise from ships, military experiments and reconnais-sance missions are drowning nature out. In SONIC SEA this invisible danger is revealed through the story of Ken Balcomb, a US navy officer who is tirelessly fighting the noise. The full length version of SONIC SEA will premiere on the Discovery Channel on May 19, 2016.
