Lesson of the day: Don’t look down. One step/turn at a time.... and most importantly, don’t freak out. . . . Gratitude: Today, I felt such an immense amount of gratitude for so many reasons. First of all, I am so thankful to be here in Chamonix with @warrenmillerent and @hellyhansen. I am able to learn, try, test out my comforts zones and sometimes surpass them. . . . Secondly, I am so lucky to be able to spend my time in the mountains. However, the more I learn, the more I realize how powerful they are and I have gained a new respect for this playground. . . . Thirdly and most importantly, I feel incredibly grateful for the team here teaching me the ropes. I’ve literally had to learn nearly everything from scratch, even know to click into touring bindings. I have had people risking their lives to make sure that I am safe, and I’ve asked way too many stupid questions. But again and again these guys have patiently stepped up to help me learn, keep me safe, and make sure that I’m comfortable... being uncomfortable. They have offered fist pumps after what is easy for them... but what is the most intense thing that I have ever done on a mountain. So thank you.
