Virtual Tour FAQ

We understand virtual premieres are new, so there’s bound to be lots of questions.

We also know skiing and riding are more vital than ever this year, so we want to make sure you're stoked to truly enjoy our virtual event and film. The following FAQ will help answer some of the common questions about the livestream and what's included with your ticket.

How Do I Watch This Event?

This event is an online, web-based, streaming event. You will need a computer, tablet, or smartphone to access the web. From there, your ticket confirmation email will provide you with a link and streamcode access key, in order for you to tune in. Search your inbox for an email from SHOWCLIX with a subject of "Your Receipt For Warren Miller's "Future Retro" (regional) Premiere". Worst case, check your spam folders too.

**Very important to know...Your ticket may only be redeemed from one device once the show gets started. Your ticket links to the device you first log in with so please ensure you are planted in front of the device you want to utilize for the whole show. You cannot jump from device to device.

Where are my coupons?

After you purchase your ticket to the event, we need about a week to deliver your coupon codes for WMECoupons.com. Please allow for up to 7 days for these to hit your inbox via a separate email. If it has been 8 days since your purchase and you don't see them in your inbox, please write us at feedback@warrenmiller.com. If you have recently purchased your ticket, please allow us to send our large batch once a week, within a week of your purchase.

Can I cast to my Smart TV or streaming device?

Yes, in most cases. With an enormous amount of devices in the world, compatibility cannot be guaranteed for this event.

Broadcast consistency: It is recommended that attendees use the following browsers and versions:
  • Chrome v81 and higher
  • Firefox v76 and higher
  • Safari v8 and higher
  • Edge v12 and higher

Most Smart TV’s and streaming devices will work to stream the film. Please see the detailed directions below on how to stream to your smart TV.

Notable exceptions: Roku TVs show an inability to accept an AirPlay/AirCast delivery from Apple devices, and varying compatibility issues with Chrome unless there is a USB stick plugged into your TV. As an alternative, try plugging a video cable (HDMI, etc.) directly from a computer to your TV in this case.

Chromecast works best when casted from a computer, not a phone. Click here for more Chromecast info

Here are some keys that have worked for us. First, make sure your Wi-Fi and Bluetooth services are on. If you are looking to cast to a Smart TV or streaming device ensure you are on the same Wi-Fi network as the device you are using to log in to the event. We highly encourage you to test casting before the event.

Use “AirPlay” on an Apple computer, iPhone or tablet: Once you open the film on your smartphone, computer, or tablet, maximize the screen size scroll over the film (or top menu bar) to look for the AirPlay or AirCast logo. The icon looks like a TV with a triangle symbol. If you don't see the AirPlay button, re-check that both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network.

Click the icon to find available devices. If your Smart TV or streaming device is set up correctly, you should see it listed as an available device. Click the device and you should be able to watch the film on the large screen.

To cast your screen from your Android device: Make sure your mobile phone or tablet is on the same Wi-Fi network as your Chromecast device. Open the Google Home app. Tap the device you want to cast your screen to. Tap Cast my screen.

Other quick tips and a few more helpful resources for casting are below. Always make sure your device is on and plugged into the tv and connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your iPhone.

Great news! This event will be available to watch for just over 48 hours.

Had so much fun on Saturday you forgot what happened? You’re in luck, you can watch the event on demand through Monday night at 11:59 pm.

Do I have to watch live at the time of my regional premier?

If you are unable to watch the premiere at its live release time, you are able to stream the recording of the live event for 48 hours after its release.

Can I watch from anywhere around the world?

Not everywhere but most places, yes. There are some countries with their own show, hosted by local Warren Miller partners. Please visit WarrenMiller.com/World-Tour for info on our international partners.

If you are in a country where a local digital event will be taking place, our system will block access and ask you to visit our partner’s sites for more info.

Can I share this with my family?

Technically, sharing is not possible as the access code you receive will lock to the first device you use to log in to the actual event. However, you can "share" by watching together in the same room. Each ticket purchased can be used for 4 people to view together. Each of those four individuals will receive access to an entry form to our door prize giveaway and sweepstakes, and a custom code for access to offers from our WME partners.

What do I get with my ticket?

With your ticket purchase you receive access to join the virtual premiere with 3 of your friends or family members. You also receive entry into our Warren Miller World Tour Sweepstakes, where we will be drawing tons of prizes as well as our Grand Prize, a trip for 2 to ski in Switzerland! You and your 3 friends or family will also receive a Warren Miller Coupon Code. Log on to WMECoupons.com, enter your custom code and you will be able to claim all of the amazing offers from our 2020 resort and retail partners.

I don't have wifi at my cabin where I plan to view. Once I purchase tickets am I able to download the show and then play it at home instead of streaming?

Unfortunately, there is no ability to download the live stream, however, there is a 48 hour window to watch the stream after it is released.

Does it matter to watch it on the date in my region?I’ve purchased tickets. Am I already entered into the raffles or do I need to do something else?

Pre-show programming is tailored to the specific region including some of the door prize giveaways, however, all events are available for 48 hours and tickets may be purchased any time within that window from start time to 11:59pm on the following Monday. If you are unable to attend the Saturday night premiere for the region in which you live, you can still watch the video on the following Sunday or Monday. If you are unable to watch the film during that period for your specific region, you can purchase tickets for either of the other regional premieres.

Can I buy it anytime this week?

Yep, you can buy the event all the way through the Monday afternoon of your specific event window. Shows go live Saturday night and the recording of the live show will be immediately available until Monday evening (about 48 hours later).

I purchased the Active Pass membership, where is my ticket?

Is it possible to watch more than once if I purchase the family ticket?

You can watch the film as many times as you’d like within the 48 hour window from the premiere time on Saturday night to Monday night.

How long will the event take?

The length of the event including the pre-show, and intermission, is approximately two and a half hours.

Can I start the film any time on the night of the event?

Each event will be live streaming for 2.5 hours on Saturday evening. Upon conclusion of the live event, a recording of the event will appear as an On-Demand version for the next 48 hours. The On-Demand version can be paused, rewound, or fast forwarded.

Can I pause, fast forward, rewind the event?

After the live event has concluded (approximately 2.5 hours after start time) a recording of the event will appear as an On-Demand version for the next 48 hours. The On-Demand version can be paused, rewound, or fast forwarded. To access the bar to fast forward and rewind, click on the video (you may have to exit full screen mode) and a bar will appear at the bottom of the image. You can use this bar to toggle the video forward and rewind.  During the live event, you will be able to access functions to make the screen full screen, but you will not be able to pause and hold the position of the event, or fast-forward/rewind.
